Although the title of the game Darkenstein 3D refers to the iconic Wolfenstein 3D from 1992, in terms of gameplay formula, it is closer to Return to Castle Wolfenstein from 2001. It is a free first-person shooter (FPS) set in an alternate version of World War II, created by an independent developer Rowye and published by MicroProse.

Gameplay

In Darkenstein 3D the action is viewed from a first-person perspective (FPP).

Fighting Nazis and other enemies

The main element of the gameplay is fighting opponents, which include not only Nazis but also zombies and even aliens. Besides regular enemies, from time to time, we face much more powerful elites. The combat is dynamic and brutal. Blood flows freely, and explosions hurl enemy bodies in all directions.
