Death of Rose PC

Death of Rose is a TPP horror game developed by Artur Laczkowski, a designer from the Bloober Team studio. The game's publisher is Feardemic, a company owned by the Polish company Bloober Team, well-known for such game as Observer and The Medium. It was inspired by the deleted work of Hideo Kojima and Konami studio called P.T.

Plot

Death of Rose takes place in an abandoned high school, which, according to rumours, was a place of rituals by a mysterious, demented sect. The main hero is Scott, who is looking for evidence of paranormal phenomena and is trying to learn the dark secrets of the school together with his best friend Beth. However, disturbing rumours about a long forgotten high school force her to stay in the car. They both come to the conclusion that the old legend is more real than they initially thought. Scott has to face not only the dark secret of the school, but also test the endurance of his psyche.

This is the first chapter of a larger, multilayered story planned by Artur Laczkowski.

Mechanics

In the game we control Scott, while Beth, who communicates with him on the radio, is a kind of guide for him. The gameplay is a classic third-person horror that focuses on exploring dark, empty corridors and classrooms, looking for clues about worship activities within the school and solving more or less complex puzzles. During the adventure we also spend a lot of time conducting interactive dialogues with Beth. There couldn't be any lack of thrilling scenes.

Technical aspects

Death of Rose was developed on the famous Unreal Engine 4, thanks to which the game's graphic design is at a very decent level. Dark locations were made with attention to detail. The creepy atmosphere is emphasized by appropriately matched nostalgic music and insane ambient sounds.
