A science-fiction top-down online shooter intended for mobile platforms, created by a Polish development studio, Sathra Games. The action of Decompression takes us to the near future. We assume the role of a colonial infantry commando entangled in a corporate war for resources. Our task is the neutralization of potential threats on spaceships, planetary mining stations, and other planets’ moons.
Decompression is a top-down online shooter set in a science fiction universe, created for mobile platforms. The title was developed by Sathra Games studio from Poland.
Decompression takes us into an unspecified future, and the players play the role of one of the colonial infantry, entangled in a corporate struggle for space resources. Our task is to neutralize the threat on spacecraft, planetary mining stations, and moons of foreign planets.
In Decompression, players can use eight unique and interestingly designed weapons, and the essence of the game is dynamic gameplay in a classic style. Importantly, the game is distributed in a premium model and doesn't contain any microtransactions, which, according to the authors, are one of the biggest disadvantages of modern mobile games.
Players compete against each other in three modes - Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
The creators set themselves an ambitious task to create a modern online shooter on mobile devices, not differing in the quality from console productions. Their inspirations include cult "hard" science fiction films such as Alien, Total Recall and Outland. The 3D graphics of Decompression were made in cel-shading technology and both in terms of style and quality is definitely different from most of the budget mobile games.
