Deliver At All Costs is an arcade game in which we play as a courier who spreads chaos around him. The title evolved from a school project, which was created by seven Swedish students. Positive reception of the free prototype convinced the authors to launch an indie studio Far Out Games and transform it into a full-fledged, commercial game.

Plot

The main character of Deliver At All Costs is Winston Green - a courier, who not only has problems with anger control, but also leads a boring, unproductive life. To make matters worse, the protagonist is forced to say goodbye to his job. On the last day of work he decides to take his boss's recommendation literally and deliver all the packages "at any cost".

Deliver At All Costs is a very funny physics-based romp that features a great deal of variety and consistently entertaining gameplay. At the same time, I wish it wasn't solo-only and it can also be occasionally annoying to play. ??

Going into Deliver At All Costs, you would understandably assume it was mostly about driving, destruction, and Grand Theft Auto-esque high jinks. And for its opening hours — its best hours — it is. But the game quietly and gradually moves away from open-world mayhem toward a more focused, intimate narrative adventure, gaining emotional heft but losing some ingenuity and player freedom in the process.

For me, this was one of those games where the messiness was part of the charm. I didn’t always know how a mission would go, but I usually ended up smiling by the end of it. If you’re looking for something that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still offers plenty to do, Deliver At All Costs is easy to recommend.
