In 2021, independent studio Fabraz released a 3D platformer titled Demon Turf, telling the adventures of a young demoness named Beebz. Over time, the team behind it decided to revisit her universe and deliver a sequel, the Demon Tides project described here.
In Demon Tides, we view events from a third-person perspective (TPP). This time Beebz becomes a sailor who travels the open waters of Rangar's Rock, exploring the nooks and crannies of the kingdom and trying to conquer it.
The protagonist can not only jump on platforms, avoid traps and avoid terrain obstacles, but also, among other things, use grappling hooks or make use of paragliders. With their help, the demoness faces the challenges awaiting her and acquires talismans, as well as ventures into hard-to-reach areas, where she finds hidden chests.
The game allows youto manually set checkpoints, so you can decide on your own where you want to revive yourself when you get knocked off your feet. In breaks from exploration, we end up in a mobile hub, where we prepare for future expeditions by spending time with the crew.
Talismans expand the protagonist's range of skills and improve the abilities she already possesses. As we progress, we also gain access to new outfits. In addition, Beebz's appearance can be changed by using headdresses and dyeing her hair.
Demon Tides can only be played as a single player. As a substitute for multiplayer gameplay, you can leave messages to other players in the form of graffiti or compete for the best times on each level.

Like Demon Turf before it, Demon Tides emphasizes precision-based platforming, something that works even better in 3D.
Noisy Pixel: 8 / 10
Demon Tides is a confident leap into open world design for Fabraz, delivering fluid, expressive 3D platforming that makes exploration across Ragnar's Rock consistently rewarding. While its comedic storytelling and boss encounters struggle to leave a lasting impression, the core movement system, generous player freedom, and smart difficulty balance make it a standout for genre fans who value mechanical depth over narrative flair.
Use a Potion: 9 / 10
Demon Tides has some small flaws, but they don’t stop the game from being an excellent platforming escapade that gives a glorious sense of freedom to the player. The core loop of exploring a vast sea, tackling platforming challenges, and customising Beebz’s diverse moveset in your own little ways is immensely rewarding, with everything coming together perfectly to make for a wonderful platforming experience that constantly rewards player creativity.
