Demon Turf is a 3D platformer from Fabraz studio. We play the role of a demon who wants to become the queen of hell. However, the bosses of underground gangs and the ruler of the hellish hosts stand in our way.
Demon Turf is a 3D platformer from independent Fabraz studio. This is not the first developer's game of this genre, as he has previously created a warmly welcomed, though not very popular, 2D production entitled Slime-san. The player's task is to guide the actions of a young demon named Beebz. The protagonist wants to take control of hell, but before that she has to get rid of his former ruler and his subordinate servants.
Demon Turf presents us with a vision of hell in which the fighting gangs seek to dominate. They are led by powerful creatures, and the strongest and most terrifying of them is the demon king himself. This does not please our protagonist, young and ambitious Beebz. She decides to challenge the gang bosses, and at the end of the day, the ruler of hell himself.
Demon Turf is a platformer that combines 2D characters and 3D levels. As Beebz, we are forced not only to navigate through danger-filled levels, but also to fight the servants of the demon king, including the mighty bosses.
Battles in the game use elements of physics. We get rid of our enemies in various ways - we can pull them, push them, or shoot them - all the tricks allowed. At the end of the levels, there are fights with character bosses waiting for us.
After clearing the area of enemies, it is worth returning to it, as changes are taking place in it. Not only do the levels look different, but they are richer with new attractions, influencing the way they pass.
You should also regularly return to the city - our base. We can find in it side missions and challenges that can add variety to the gameplay (e.g. hunting for pictures of hidden locations or unexpected events).
The game can be modified to some extent to match the player's preferences. We have full power over the checkpoints, we decide if, where and when we want to put them. In addition, we can buy modifications for our character, which are not based only on aesthetic values, but can affect the style of our game.

Demon Turf feels like a missed opportunity for its engaging, interesting new world to be catered to such a niche audience. Perhaps these lost levels can give way to an adventure with Beebz that's more up to speed with the general public, but for now, Demon Turf is well worth a try for hardcore platforming fans and difficult to recommend for those less fond of the genre.

Overall, Demon Turf is a solid 3D platformer on Nintendo Switch, with a ton of personality and a striking art style. The amount of content present within the game is extraordinary, featuring a plethora of main collectibles, alongside worthwhile side content. Fully completing the game is guaranteed to take a large amount of time, but the variety of turfs to explore will make the quest to defeat the Demon King a memorable one. If you're after another great platformer on Nintendo Switch, then Demon Turf will definitely scratch that itch.

Demon Turf is the kind of game that wears its flaws on its sleeve, but everything in it comes together, and works that it becomes hard to not get sucked into the gameplay. Platforming and making progress is engrossing when the gameplay facilitates a rhythm to the level design and gaps; and this title revels in it.
