Despot's Game is an auto-battler with RPG and roguelike elements. The game was developed by indie studio Konfa Games, and released in turn by tinyBuild.
In Despot's Game we take control of a group of heroes who wake up in a post-apocalyptic labyrinth. Naked and deprived of memory, our charges must move ahead and face dangerous challenges prepared by the sinister d'Spot, to whom the place belongs.
In Despot's Game we observe the action from a top-down view. Our team traverses the gloomy maze and faces hordes of enemies. Various masterminds stand in their way - from cannibalistic cabbages, through deadly robots, to necromancers and their armies of skeletons.
Although the protagonists are initially defenseless, they quickly acquire a variety of tools of murder, ranging from conventional weapons such as swords and pistols to more sophisticated weapons such as throwers of weathered pretzels and magical rabbits in hats. Besides, characters gain specializations, becoming warriors, mages, cultists or marksmen, as well as various mutations that increase their combat potential.
Battles with enemies take place automatically - our role is reduced to strategic placement of units (mages should be placed behind warriors, in front of whom it is worth placing, for example, damage-absorbing refrigerators) and observing the chaos prevailing on the battlefield.
At the same time, it is worth remembering that the maze is procedurally generated, which means that new challenges and attractions await us there each time we start playing.
Despot's Game can be played solo or in a competitive-based multiplayer mode.
