History of the world

The storyline in Dimensity take its place in original fantasy world created by the God of Light who banished the gods of chaos and darkness into a prison made by their own void. He created the inhabitants of the world including the races of the noble humans and the furious triends. But the Rivals of the God of Light managed to corrupt some men and entered the world bringing devastation upon it. The God of Light himself repelled them and changed the world forever to keep it safe.

The times where the story of the single player campaigns takes place are troubled. For more than 80 years the humans are in war with the triends and no side can prevail. After the king of the greatest human realm – The Empire, finds his death in the distant territories of the triends, a common hunter obeying his last orders takes a long and dangerous journey to the capital. It is a story of noble deeds and rising from a commoner to the title of knight and general of the empire's army.

The triend campaign reveals the events five years after the end of the human campaign. The triend lands are invaded by the humans and the situation soon becomes critical for their survival. One of the mightiest among them, although young, begins a glorious quest to gather the scattered triend forces and drive back the attackers. The two separate by the first look stories, begin to interweave in the end with breath taking final.

Races

There are four playable races in Dimensity, each with its advantages and weakness. The player will control a leader whose class and specialization must be chosen in the beginning of the game. The leader could be either warrior or mage. When warrior, he can equip many weapons and armor. If the leader is a mage he should furthermore choose one of the two available for the race schools of magic. The other becomes unavailable for him to learn, although he still could use its spells if they are written on scrolls. The mage can handle only certain weapons and cannot equip armor or shield. His protective wears are mage robes and mantles.

Both leader classes can use bows and advance in ranged combat skills. The leader – warrior can equip most of the weapons. There are categories of armament specific to each race. Some of the fighting skills of the leader-warrior are connected to these weapons.

Items

Dimennsity has implemented advanced Item Drop system which alows random generation of any kind of an item. The system generates not only the item type but carefully systematized characteristics, magic bonuses and racial bonuses. The item finding is based on the experience and the personal characteristics of the Leader for any curent moment. However the probability of finding extemely powerfull item is not excluded.

The items will be classified in classes - common, magical, forged, sets and ancient.

All this variability of items will shift the gamplay to be more exiting and dramatic in battles.

Unlimited input textures in a palette;

Separate settings for every texture in the palette with unique material settings. That way the different compositing layers of the terrain appear more realistic. For example the rocks have bump, the marble-glossines, the grass only duffuse lighting;

Per Pixel (using normal maps) lighting effects- diffuse lighting+specular;

Realistic water surfaces- Per Pixel transparency, reflection and specular;

Skined models;

The models of the humanoid units are build from 1500-2000 triangles;
