Multiplayer shooters from the early 2000s (arena shooters) most often find their imitators among FPSs relying on network gameplay. However, independent studio Funny Fintan Softworks from Australia decided to use the formula developed by them in its project Don't Stop, Girlypop!, allowing only single-player play.
In Don't Stop, Girlypop! we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the gameplay, we play as a girl who must defeat the g?rational corporation Tigris Nix, which is trying to deprive the world of the love that keeps the entire planet alive.
For each eliminated robot in the service of the sinister company, our protégée releases a particle of love into the environment, the indicator of which is a measure of her combat effectiveness. The heroine gets rid of adversaries by making use of firearms. Constant movement plays an important role here. The faster we move, the more damage we deal and the more effective we heal.
In addition, continuous movement is also encouraged by the bunny hopping mechanic (jumping increases our speed), which is combined with features such as ground slam (hitting the ground with momentum generates damage), dash (short, quick jump) and double jump (double jump).
Weapons have been equipped with alternative firing modes, which can be combined into impressive combinations. The appearance of the arsenal can be modified by decorating it with various patterns and decorations. For example, we can put a butterfly on the barrel, and paint the gun's housing in r?gure.
The graphic design of the game Don't Stop, Girlypop! is kept in a bright color scheme, dominated by shades of r?gure.

Game Ratings for Don’t Stop, Girlypop! Video Game.
WayTooManyGames: 7.5 / 10 by Leonardo Faria
It’s slick, it’s stylish, and its gameplay loop is fun and centered around short levels. There’s a lot to like in Don’t Stop Girlypop, especially when it comes to how unique it looks and feels next to pretty much any other first-person shooter out there. You will need a minute to get used to its “the more you move, the faster you move” gameplay premise, and it’s best enjoyed in smaller sessions (it does get repetitive after a while), but I have nothing but the utmost respect for the sheer amount of creativity put into it.
Outrun Gaming: 6 / 10 by Stephanie Valentine
Despite its saccharine-sweet songs, kitschy customization tools, and alluring aesthetics, Don’t Stop, GirlyPop! gameplay detracts from an otherwise poignant (and timely) story.
XboxEra: 7 / 10 by Győző Baki
Don’t Stop, Girlypop! presents a brilliant audiovisual experience, combining over-the-top “girly” Y2K aesthetics with one of the fastest FPS modules on the market. If you’re a fan of the 2000’s pop culture, the high-energy female vocaled pop music of the era and have been dying to dazzle your weapons in a shooter, this game is for you. Those searching for an Ultrakill-tier boomer shooter, however, might walk away disappointed, as underneath it all is a slightly clunky, not particularly memorable sequence of arenas with big hordes of enemies and weak platforming on the side.
