A free-to-play MMORPG with a turn-based combat system, developed by the Russian Esprit Games studio. Dragon Lord takes us to a fantasy land and allows us to become the titular lord, tasked with the mission of overthrowing the ruling tyrant.
The Russian company Esprit Games specializes in browser, mobile, and MMO games. One of its projects is Dragon Lord, which is an MMORPG that transports us to a fantasy continent ruled by the Lord of Dark Dragons. During the game we take on the role of one of the titular dragon lords, and our task is to overthrow the tyrant's rule. The game is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
In Dragon Lord we can pick the gender of our protagonist and the action is presented in an isometric view.
We explore locations (both on the surface and underground), finish quests set before us, gather a team, and also fight opponents.
The fights take place in turn-based mode, and during them the key to success is the skillful use of the abilities of individual characters. Given that these latter ones enter into various synergies with each other, we need to choose team members who will complement each other. Apart from them, we gain access to mounts, and of course to dragons. Winged reptiles embody the elements of ice, earth, and fire.
As we progress, more powerful characters can join our team. Over time we develop our hero, as well as their companions. Our wards gather experience and improve their statistics and skills. Their combat potential also increases due to the equipment they acquire.
Dragon Lord can be played in multiplayer mode over the Internet. The games allows players to join clans and collectively participate in global events. Additionally, PvP arenas are available.
