An action RPG with an open world, developed by the creators of Drova: Forsaken Kin. Project Topas (code name) expands on the mechanics and ideas from the studio's previous project. This includes a redesigned combat system, an option to play as a mage, as well as a better character development system.
Project Topas (code name) is an action RPG from the independent German studio Just2D Interactive. This developer made its debut with the warmly received Drova: Forsaken Kin. The described game is based on the pillars established by the team's first work, while at the same time it brings a number of innovations.
At the time of the announcement, the developers behind Project Topas did not yet know whether it would transform into a sequel of Drova: Forsaken Kin, or become a completely independent production. They immediately decided, however, that they would once again create an action RPG game with an open world and two-dimensional, pixel art graphics.
The game is supposed to operate based on the predecessor's engine, and its world is to be inhabited by characters equipped with individual schedules. We can also expect the return of diversified factions.
There are also various innovations introduced by the creators. They include a redesigned combat system, which is expected to gain in fluidity and dynamism. Moreover, the developers will allow us to become a fully-fledged mage, and will also delve into the penal system and character development.
The stories related to specific characters are also to become deeper. The drafting workshop will handle level designs, which are supposed to be better thought out.
