A third-person RPG with a turn-based combat system and retro graphics, made by the creators of Dread Delusion. In Entropy we lead a bunch of adventurers travelling a dying fantasy world. Their destination is hell where they plan to stop a demonic invasion.
The independent British studio Lovely Hellplace gained worldwide recognition thanks to an original project titled Dread Delusion. The next game of this team is Entropy, a retro-styled RPG inspired by Japanese productions from this genre.
In Entropy we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP).
The game transports us to a dying fantasy world, in which only individual enclaves of humanity remain, and terrifying creatures roam the wastelands. The adventure begins in the town of Draenog, and during it we take on the role of an actor, whose performance was interrupted by a monster attack. In the face of danger, we have no choice but to grab a wooden sword and go into battle. In this way, our journey begins, which leads to... hell, the source of the demonic invasion.
Before we get there, however, we will first have to travel the world of the game in all its breadth and length, get to know its inhabitants, gather a team of up to six people, acquire better equipment, and also engage in numerous battles with opponents.
Battles in the game take place in turn-based mode, and when one of our companions dies on the battlefield, we have no choice but to replace him with one of the mercenaries. As we progress, we develop our characters, which allows us to face increasingly bigger challenges over time.
The graphic design of Entropy was maintained in an old-school style reminiscent of productions from the era of the first PlayStation.
