Metaphor: ReFantazio is a jRPG, previously known under the codename Project Re Fantasy. It was developed by Atlus' subsidiary, Studio Zero, led by Katsura Hashino, an acclaimed Japanese video game director and producer, known for work on some installments of the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series, as well as Catherine and Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir.
Plot
Metaphor: ReFantazio is set in a fantasy world. The player must save a kingdom from disaster, facing many dangers, making friends and building strong bonds.
Mechanics
Metaphor: ReFantazio is a third-person game (TPP). The player traverses diverse, atmospheric locations (on foot or using a kind of skateboard), completes quests and fights enemies. Combat is turn-based, requiring skillful use of the player party's abilities. Progressing through the game lets us develop our party members and face gradually greater challenges.
Technical aspects
Metaphor: ReFantazio makes use of a colorful, manga-like artstyle. Its soundtrack was composed by Shoji Meguro.
