The development of the truck driving simulation game Euro Truck Simulator 2 has been one of the pillars of the activities of SCS Software studio since 2012. One of its elements is the expansion pack described here, named Isle of Ireland.
New features in the expansion
As the title suggests, Euro Truck Simulator 2: Isle of Ireland allows us to traverse the roads crossing Ireland and Northern Ireland, from coastal routes (which include sections of the A2 motorway), through inland routes, to the main communication arteries.
While transporting various types of cargo, we can admire the local nature, landmarks, and natural wonders, including the Rock of Cashel, the Samson and Goliath cranes, and the Giant's Causeway. There is no shortage of idyllic landscapes (mainly in the form of farmland, enclosed by stone walls and hedges) and rugged sceneries untouched by human hands.
Our main points of interest, however, are the cities (such as Dublin, Belfast, Cork, and Galway), as well as smaller towns and villages like Killarney, Sligo, Cashel, and Bushmills.
Technical aspects
Euro Truck Simulator 2: Isle of Ireland is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of Euro Truck Simulator 2.
