EverQuest: Depths of Darkhollow PC

Depths of Darkhollow is the ninth expansion for a great and still popular (despite the release of a sequel) MMMORPG, EverQuest. It offers many new locations to visit and adventures to experience, all connected to the storyline it introduces.

Depths of Darkhollow takes the players to the dark underground world where they have to face a new evil, and cannot let it come to the surface of Norrath. The player-controlled heroes will get to the huge network of underground corridors and caves. Their way ahead will be obstructed by many creatures – 30 new kinds of enemies in total, including werewolves, gnomes, sporals and so on.

The biggest news in the series is the possibility of changing our character into a monster. Six of 60 new missions, the so-called Monster Missions, focus on the shape shifting into a beast and fighting other vile creatures. The hero may also change into a lower-level monster and join a less experienced party. The points gained will enhance the statistics of the human “version” of our character (Spirit Shrouds).

All of that is complemented by 7 new zones to explore, new weapons and items (that become more powerful the longer the use, some have hidden powers, and some even… their own will!), as well as a number of new spells. The developers didn’t forget to implement the updates released so far and even took care of some enhancements in the audiovisual layer of EverQuest.
