Gameplay

The gameplay in Faceminer takes place on a virtual CRT monitor screen, on which the titular software is running. We operate the computer and perform duties related to the processing of biometric data.

Initially we do everything manually, independently collecting and filtering data. Later in the game we gain funds that allow us to improve our work (and consequently - earn money faster).

Developing a business

As we progress, we can acquire better equipment and automate individual processes, gradually expanding our data processing center. However, we must be vigilant, as business development also entails an increase in its maintenance costs (electricity bills can be truly lethal).

Moreover, we need to regularly maintain cooling systems of our computers. This matter is additionally complicated by the fact that we must comply with the law related to carbon dioxide emissions (or at least give such an impression).

Rumors and secrets

The fun is enhanced by the opportunity to check emails that are a source of gossip about our colleagues and peers in the profession. It's worth reading them, as they also give us insight into the secrets and plans of the creators of the titular software.

Music

The gameplay in Faceminer is accompanied by a soundtrack inspired by the 1990s. It was composed by an artist using the pseudonym Madwreck. The music genres present in the game include house, jungle and ambient.
