Floor 13: Deep State is an unusual strategy game in which we play the role of the head of an intelligence agency, taking decisions that shape the organisation's further steps and thus the situation in the world (and above all in London and the United Kingdom). The game was developed by the independent studio Oversight Productions and is directly inspired by Floor 13 from the 1990s. The publisher is Humble Games.
Floor 13: Deep State takes place in London, on the title thirteenth floor of a mysterious intelligence agency that controls society. In the game you can find events and characters inspired by the real world.
In Floor 13: Deep State, we take on the role of a high-ranking spy, who makes decisions to suppress the people's libertarian impulses and control them. The game is mainly about browsing and reading documents, and then making choices by checking the appropriate checkbox and/or signing.
In the course of the game, we give various orders - from the creation and dissemination of fake news, through the organisation of illegal wiretaps, to the to arranging assassinations.
In Floor 13: Deep State we can only play alone. The core of the game is the single player mode.
The graphic design of Floor 13: Deep State is quite simple - it consists mainly of an interface and various illustrations. From time to time we also see a not very complex, three-dimensional environment and animations that represent the main character's place of work or the locations and events in the game world.
The game deals with many delicate topics and issues, such as alcohol and drug consumption, sex, terrorism, extremism, murder, torture and depression.
