Frigato: Shadows of the Caribbean is a tactical strategy game inspired by Commandos, in which we command a crew of pirates. The game emphasizes stealth and making use of the characters' unique abilities.
Frigato: Shadows of the Caribbean is a tactical real-time strategy game inspired by the Commandos series. It's the debut project of the Polish studio Mercat Games.
The game is set in the Caribbean, during the golden age of piracy. The player commands a crew of pirates, robbing other ships and taking on dangerous quests.
The game combines historical elements with fantasy inspired by legends of the time - as an example, the player can encounter mermaids.
Frigato: Shadows of the Caribbean has us command a small squad in real time. Each character has their own, unique abilities we must make good use of.
The gameplay heavily emphasizes stealth. Open combat's unadvisable - to succeed, we must be quiet and stay undetected. The locations are full of interactive objects we can use to our advantage. While exploring, we gather loot we can spend on new equipment and bribes.
The game offers a lot of freedom gameplay-wise. Missions can be completed in many different ways, including without killing anyone, while decisions made during the game affect the loyalty of our crew and the course of the story.
The game only supports singleplayer.
