Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice

Frostpunk Mobile is the mobile edition of the warmly welcomed strategy Frostpunk developed by Polish 11 bit studios. Mobile is a new game modelled on the desktop version of the game. It was developed and published by the Chinese studio NetEase.

Plot

The action of Frostpunk Mobile takes place in the same universe as the original game. As a result of a natural disaster, the Earth is shrouded in an unnatural, volcanic winter. A huge drop in temperature destroys the world civilisation and kills most of the human race. Prior to the catastrophe, the American and British governments commissioned the construction of generators, or special heat-generating structures, on coal-rich lands. These generators are able to heat large tracts of land, potentially allowing new settlements to be built. The player takes on the role of the manager of one of the generators, whose goal is to build a city around the structure and ensure the safety of the people living there.

Mechanics

Frostpunk Mobile borrows the core gameplay and many elements from the original version of the game. Our task is to expand our settlement, extract the necessary resources and fight against ever lower temperatures. The Book of Laws and exploration of frosty wilderness known from the original return to the game. As a ruler of the city we have the possibility to introduce new laws modifying the gameplay. For example, we can allow children to work or start 24-hour emergency shifts. The player also has the ability to send scouts outside the city and build outposts constantly supplying resources. The game also includes several new, unique elements such as guilds or the ability to rescue animals.
