After creating the free survival strategy game called Frostrain, the independent studio nemonan quickly began working on a sequel. Frostrain 2 is more developed compared to its predecessor. It once again places us in the role of the manager of a train traversing a frozen and contaminated world.

Gameplay

As the conductor and the leader of the railway community, we are responsible for the safety of the passengers and making a series of decisions impacting survival in the cold, contaminated world. To avoid deadly toxins, we need to study the map to choose better routes. At the same time, we attach new carriages or upgrade old ones using drones sent from supply points.

The "roguelike" gameplay of Frostrain 2 is largely based on building synergies between carriages from randomly drawn cards. The outcome of the choices made has a strongly mathematical nature. For example, the "Sense of Privilege" card causes the front carriage to generate 20% more Happiness, which decreases by 4% with each subsequent traction unit. The categories of statistics, besides happiness, also include culture, education, food, the number of passengers, and even media in the form of press.
