Game of Thrones Winter is Coming is a browser strategy game with RPG elements, based on the license of the popular TV series Game of Thrones (which in turn is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin's novel A Song of Ice and Fire). The game enables players to create their own noble house and compete for the throne of Westeros. The Chinese studio Yoozoo Games, in cooperation with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and HBO station, is responsible for its creation and release.
Game of Thrones Winter is Coming takes place on the continent of Westeros, part of a brutal fantasy world, where various noble families intrigue and clash in an endless struggle for power, while in the north there is a threat from mythical, undead creatures whose existence threatens all living beings. The game starts shortly after the death of Eddard Stark, and during the game players can find many other characters known from the universe of Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones Winter is Coming combines elements of strategy game and RPG genre. We start the game by creating our own noble house and then we try to take control of the map. In order to do this we have to train our own troops and lead them in battles - often huge clashes involving thousands of units.
Victory requires the use of appropriate tactics (e.g. the correct positioning of troops on the battlefield), as well as strategies (long-term planning and appropriate use of available resources). The production of Yoozoo Games also enables us to build and develop our own fortress.
Players can also form alliances and face each other in brutal PvP clashes.
Game of Thrones Winter is Coming features only a mass multiplayer mode, which enables us to compete with people from all over the world.
Game of Thrones Winter is Coming boasts quite nice, three-dimensional graphics, which presents a fairly high level compared to other browser productions. The game world is three-dimensional and has a considerable level of detail. The creators also took full advantage of the license granted to them by HBO and made sure that the places and individual key figures reminded us of what we know from the TV screen.
