Genital Jousting for PC is an unusual arcade game developed by Free Lives – a studio popular for a well received, two-dimensional shooter game Broforce. Genital Jousting was published by Devolver Digital, which is a company that offers a series of indie hits, such as Hotline Miami, The Talos Principle, Mother Russia Bleeds or Gods Will Be Watching.
The creators prepared a hilarious story campaign about the adventures of a member called John. In his youth, he was considered a looser at school, and was being teased by cooler peers. A long time has passed, and now John receives an invitation to a graduates' meeting. Unfortunately, John has one issue he needs to resolve in order not to be taken for a life failure – he has to find a partner who will accompany him during the meeting.
Generally, Genital Jousting for PC does not constitute anything special, as it is a sheer party game, in which the player participates in various mini-games; one can have fun in the single-player mode or play with others (up to eight players) in the local multiplayer or the online variant. What is striking about the game though, lies in the characters, as the player assumes the role of a penis having testicles and an anus. The player-controlled members can be clothed with different outfits, which makes them stand out while fighting other players.
The encounters as such are fairly unusual, as one penis "attacks" another by entering it. This however, is not always the main goal, because different game modes bring completely different tasks. For example, one mode requires the player to take part in a race; in a different case, one's job is to chase dachshunds to the homestead; yet another example is a game of soccer.
Genital Jousting for PC offers colorful, pastel visuals. The game does not use any advanced effects, and the creators were focused mainly on making the in-game penises move like winding snakes around a small map.
