Gold's Gym: Dance Workout Description
Gold's Gym: Dance Workout is an attempt at combining a dance game like Just Dance with fitness training. The title was produced by game developers Land Ho! and Rocket Company under Ubisoft company and was based on American chain of fitness centers – Gold's Gym.
Workout regimes in Gold's Gym: Dance Workout are combinations of dance steps and choreographies (based on Salsa, Samba, Rumba, Flamenco, Reggaeton, and Meringue) with simple physical exercises inspired of boxing. Players can create their own sets of exercises or use programs prepared by professional fitness instructors.
Training sessions last up to 30 minutes. Your performance is observed by virtual trainers, who also teach you new steps, dose the intensity of workout, and motivate you. A measure of diversity is introduced by mini-games (marathon, boxing, karate, bull riding, kayaking, and fencing).
During training players are constantly informed on how many calories they burnt. Moreover, after each training the data is saved on the console so you could later review your progress.
Gold's Gym: Dance Workout has simple, but esthetic graphics. The soundtrack consists of songs by such singers and bands, as Lady Gaga (Just Dance), Beach Boys (Good Vibrations), Madonna (Material Girl), Kanye West (Stronger), Pussycat Dolls (Jai Ho), Santana (Smooth), Jamiroquai (Cosmic Girl), Blondie (Heart Of Glass), Britney Spears (Stronger), and Jennifer Lopez (Waiting for Tonight).
