Hannah Montana: Music Jam Description
Hannah Montana: Music Jam is a combination of a musical game and a relatively simple adventure. It is also a full-fledged continuation of the first part of the protagonist's adventures, published at the end of 2006. This product is designed exclusively for Nintendo DS owners.
As you can easily guess, the game is a direct reference to a popular youth series about the adventures of a teenager. Miley Stewart is one of many high school students during the day. At night, however, she becomes the famous singer, the title singer Hanna Montana. Music Jam is not based directly on any episode of a TV series, offering a completely new story. This time Hannah has to stand up for a musical duel with another growing pop star, Savanna Star. While playing as Miley, we have to regain the trust of one of the main character's friends.
One of the main attractions of Music Jam is to try many different musical instruments. It can be a bass guitar or drums. A crossword or a touch screen is used to play. The general idea of the game is very simple. For example, when choosing a guitar we are dealing with a mini-game based on the Guitar Hero series. We perform appropriate actions according to the instructions displayed on the guitar's neck. However, just trying out individual instruments is not the end of the game. There is an option to record your songs using the built-in tools. Among other things, we determine the rhythm, whether we choose the instruments necessary for the performance of the work.
An important advantage of Music Jam is also related to the possibility of recording songs with the participation of up to three other players. Everyone's performance is continuously stored in the console of the player who created the session. He or she can then bring everything together and share the results of working together with his or her friends. The prepared music pieces are also enriched with short video materials, using top-down prepared patterns.
The game's visual setting presents a relatively high level of workmanship. If we have chosen to play with instruments, the action takes place on both handheld screens at the same time. In the case of free exploration of the environment it looks a bit different. One screen then shows a three-dimensional view of the surrounding area and the other shows the available options.
