Hibernaculum is an RPG made in the futuristic horror style. The player explores the wreckage of Soviet spaceships from an first person perspective. Movement takes place in a jumping manner, and combat is played in real time.
Hibernaculum is an RPG made in the science fiction horror style. The project was developed by Wormwood Studios, known for Primordia and Strangeland.
In the game we go to explore abandoned Soviet spaceships, which have been transformed into places from nightmares due to Soviet arrogance and cruelty.
Hibernaculum is an RPG inspired by old dungeon crawlers released in the late 1980s and of the 1990s. Events are observed from a first-person perspective, exploration is done in a jumping manner, and the player can only turn 90 degrees to the left or right.
We explore ships, develop characters, complete quests and fight battles with various monsters during the gameplay. Skirmishes take place in real time.
The game offers a single-player mode only.
The strong point of Hibernaculum is the execution. The authors opted for an interestingly realized retro style full of large pixels, inspired by PC games from the first half of the 1990s. An additional attraction is the unusual reality, in which futuristic horror is combined with elements referring to the tradition of the Soviet space program.
