Holstin Release Date PC
Holstin is an action survival horror game developed by the Polish studio Sonka.
The game is set in Poland, in November 1992. Holstin takes place in a small town of Jeziorne-Kolonia, near the city of Olsztyn. Due to a mysterious supernatural disaster, the streets of the town become flooded with bizarre, animated slime. The dangerous substance absorbs everything in its way.
The main protagonist heads to Jeziorne-Kolonia in order to look for a missing friend. He must find him and escape the town together, before it is devoured by the slime.
Gameplay-wise, Holstin is a classic survival horror. The player must explore the town, fight monsters and solve puzzles. As expected from the genre, supplies, weapons and ammo are scarce, forcing the player to use their resources responsible.
Monsters aren't the only inhabitants of Jeziorne-Kolonia. Throughout the game, the player can meet various survivors. Many of them are on the verge of insanity, so to convince them to help, the protagonist must conform to their delusions.
The game offers only a single-player mode.
Holstin features an isometric camera, which can be turned under eight angles. The graphics are done in pixel-art 2D, enhanced by dynamic lighting. The game also features full voice-acting in English and Polish.
