Admittedly, cleaning and redecorating rooms can be hard tasks, but at the same time they can also be r?enjoyable and rewarding. So independent Come On Studio decided to make these activities the pillars of its cozy production titled Hozy.

Gameplay

In Hozy, we view events in an isometric view. During the gameplay, we find ourselves in a hometown that has lost its former splendor over the years, and our task is to restore the objects important to us to their former glory.

The adventure takes place in such places as our parents' house, an artist's studio or an old café, which we clean and furnish and decorate room by room. As if by the way, we discover the stories of their inhabitants.

WayTooManyGames: 7 / 10 by Leonardo Faria

Hozy is a relaxing and straightforward refurbishment simulator that isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel, nor is it trying to demand too much attention from you. It features just enough elements to keep you entertained (good visuals, decent controls, a gameplay loop that won’t bore you) while you’re listening to a podcast, for instance. Whilst I think they should have given players more freedom in terms of how much stuff you have to shove into a room before a level is complete, it is so easygoing and devoid of stakes, you won’t end up minding about this issue that much.

Thumb Culture: 4 / 5

All in all, Hozy is a very cozy game that provides a fun and relaxing experience, perfect for a comfy afternoon. Even though the game is a bit short, the vibes are there and the attention to detail makes every minute worth it. If you are looking for a fun little game to switch your brain off, this is definitely a cute one to pick up. If you want a more custom experience, maybe wait for the teased updates to release, but even right now, the game is already worth giving a shot! Today, I am giving Hozy the Thumb Culture Gold Award!

Smash Jump: 6 / 10 by Joseph Shay

There are parts of Hozy that make it seem like there could be more to its systems. On the other hand, what Hozy offers is simple enough to fill the niche of cozy relaxation. It ends up falling in a place where “more” is the first thing that comes to mind.
