Refreshed edition of the cult cRPG game created by Black Isle team in 2000. Canadian studio Beamdog, known from two successful remakes of equally legendary Baldur's Gate series, is responsible for its creation. The action of the game is set in Forgotten Realms universe and tells about adventures of six-person team of daredevils, who set off on a journey through the title Valley of the Ice Storm to the mountains called the Spine of the World.

Icewind Dale 2 was a solid sequel without glitter. In hindsight, it turns out to be a great RPG
The first Icewind Dale from Black Isle was an interesting change from Baldur's Gate, and a so-so competitor to Diablo. Unfortunately, Icewind Dale 2 was left far behind by its rivals, which is a shame, because after some time, it is one of the best isometric RPGs.

Refreshed editions of Baldurs Gate (with Siege of Dragonspear), Baldurs Gate II and Icewind Dale received a new, major update, numbered 2.6. Among other things, it improves performance on 64-bit systems, eliminates a lot of bugs and adds a number of new features.
