Instinction is an action game inspired by the cult series Dino Crisis, launched in 1999. The game was developed by independent studio Hashbane from New Zealand. The game takes us on a journey to the land, which, like in the movie Jurassic Park, was overrun by dinosaurs.
In Instinction we observe the action from a first person (FPP) or third person (TPP) perspective. While exploring the vast game world, we deal mainly with completing the tasks which push the plot forward. Apart from that, diverse side missions await you, and the gameplay is additionally varied by many puzzles.
During the exploration we have to be constantly on guard, because on our way may stand both large prehistoric reptiles, which can be easily spotted from a distance (and if necessary - avoided in advance), as well as smaller (and thus faster and more agile) creatures, harder to spot among the dense vegetation. We eliminate dinosaurs by using firearms (from pistols to machine guns to rocket launchers) or cold weapons. With time we gain various upgrades, accessories and skins for our murderous tools. They allow not only to face more powerful enemies, but also to adjust weapons to individual preferences and style of play. It's up to you whether you want to work quietly, creep through the thicket and take dinosaurs by surprise, or shoot everything that moves.
Instinction features both single player and multiplayer gameplay.
Instinction runs on Unreal Engine 4 technology. The graphic design presents a high quality. The arsenal and dinosaurs were designed with attention to detail, and the game world is overgrown with dense, realistically animated vegetation. The same applies to the audio layer, which uses the benefits of surround sound technology.
