Islands & Trains is a relaxing game which is difficult to classify into a specific genre. It allows us to create dioramas with moving miniature trains. The development of this game was led by independent developers Akos Makovics and Fabian Schmidt. Their sources of inspiration were projects such as Islanders, Dorfromantik, and Townscaper.

Gameplay

In Islands & Trains we watch the events in an isometric view.

Peaceful gameplay in picturesque locations

The gameplay takes place on the titular islands full of rivers, lakes, forests, canyons, mountains, and beautiful towns. Our goal is to create railway lines that intersect locations, winding across the entire territory at our discretion. We can not only lay tracks on solid ground, but also build bridges and viaducts.
