Kicker Manager 2004 is a football manager created by ProLine Software development team and released by German company Deep Silver. The player starts as a low league subordinate team manager, and the aim of his efforts is to take care of the European extra-class team and win a number of prestigious awards and trophies with him. In this title football enthusiasts will enjoy 1157 genuine football clubs from 72 leagues from 52 European countries. The total number of players with which we will encounter during the struggle is as many as 28986.

As in any self-respecting manager, so here you will find a full range of options and functions that allow you to manage your club. This includes the training of individual players and the entire team, the transfer market, agreements with sponsors and advertising companies, management of the club's premises (stadium), etc. An interesting solution used by the authors in Kicker Manager 2004, are special skill points of the manager, which are assigned to him/her at the beginning of the game. For example, assigning more of these points to language skills results in the fact that he or she agrees better with colleagues of other nationalities, and in turn the investment in organisational skills increases the effectiveness of training. For the convenience of the player, assistants have been implemented into the programme, who can relieve the player of some of the burdensome duties.

The game has a pleasant graphic design, with the manager's office made using 2D graphics, and fragments of matches are viewed in 3D graphics (Motion Capture technique).
