Last Life is an independent adventure game funded by Kickstarter, divided into episodes. Sam Farmer (Rocket Science Amusements), who previously worked for BBC Worldwide, which creates projects based on the most popular BBC programs, is responsible for production.

The action of the title takes place in the future, 11 years after the great catastrophe and the disappearance of all life on Earth. Only a few million people who now live in colonies scattered throughout the Solar System managed to avoid the Holocaust. The protagonist of the production is P.I. Jack Parker - a private investigator who dies during an investigation in Mars. Fortunately, the day after his death, thanks to three-dimensional printing technology, he is brought back to life for four hours to take part in the annual Dead Man's Party. However, our charge does not intend to play, but to use the opportunity given to him to find his murderer.

The game is inspired by games like The Walking Dead from Telltale Games studio and Kentucky Route Zero. Last Life is therefore based on creating an atmosphere through a captivating story. However, the game requires a detective approach to fun and deduction.

Graphic design of Rocket Science Amusements studio production is minimalist and evokes the cult Another World. The title, however, stands out with its noir style. It is also worth mentioning that this is the first game signed with Double Fine Presents brand. The famous studio led by Tim Schafer helped Sam Farmer with his knowledge and promotion.
