Lethis: Path of Progress II PC

Lethis: Path of Progress II is a continuation of the warmly received city-builder, which was developed by the devs of the original, i.e. independent French studio Triskell Interactive.

Story

Action in Lethis: Path of Progress II takes place in a steampunk universe. With the discovery of the potential of steam as an energy source, the world of Lethis began a process of the industrial revolution, followed by a massive migration of rural population to cities. The player takes on the role of mayor of one of such agglomerations, and their task is not only to take care of the development of the metropolis and satisfaction of the inhabitants but also to fulfill the wishes of the emperor.

Mechanics

While playing in Lethis: Path of Progress our shoulders are burdened with a number of responsibilities. Therefore, we collect raw materials, acquire employees representing a dozen or so professions, building various structures (both industrial buildings, as well as utility buildings and monuments increasing the splendor of our city), improve districts and finally work on new technologies raising the standard of living of its residents.

Moreover, establishing trade relations with other agglomerations to which we can export the produced goods plays an important role; despite the fact that we derive the highest revenues from taxes imposed on residents (it is worth remembering not to overtax them), in this way we provide ourselves with an additional influx of money needed for the development of the city. In addition, from time to time, the aforementioned emperor makes requests from us, which we have to fulfill in order to ensure his favor.

Game modes

In addition to the story campaign Lethis: Path of Progress II offers a sandbox mode, in which the devs do not impose any specific tasks on us.

Technical aspects

Like its predecessor, Lethis: Path of Progress II features two-dimensional visuals in a slightly cartoonish style.
