A free-to-play third person MMORPG, set in a fantasy world inspired by the Middle Ages. Life is Feudal: Arden allows us to play as an adventurer, a bandit, a soldier, a manor lord, a craftsman, a builder and many other characters. We can also participate in sieges and territorial wars. The game offers PvP, PvE and PvPvE modes.
Life is Feudal: Arden is a free-to-play MMORPG. It is the fourth production under the Life is Feudal brand, and also the successor to Life is Feudal: MMO. The company behind this project, Long Tale Games, decided to use its predecessor as a foundation for a new work created with the support of players, introducing a new map and a number of improvements.
Life is Feudal: Arden takes us to a fantasy world inspired by the Middle Ages. Our actions and decisions shape the fate of the character we lead.
Watching the action from a third-person perspective (TPP), we explore a world divided into zones. We can find PvE areas (where we only face AI opponents), PvP (within which we can compete with other players), as well as a hybrid of the two previous ones, PvPvE (where we gather valuable resources by hunting dangerous Knools).
Apart from exploration, we can perform quests or create our own adventures, fulfilling ourselves in the chosen profession. An example is trade, which involves the need to establish special outposts and independently deliver goods intended for sale to them.
As merchants, we must watch out for bandits hunting our caravans. On the other hand, we ourselves can become criminals and engage in hunting other players. The game allows us to engage in political intrigues or become craftsmen involved in the production of items or construction (from small houses to large castles).
The icing on the cake are guilds, the establishment or joining of which gives us the opportunity to meet colleagues in the profession.
Combat is one of the key elements of Life is Feudal: Arden. The clashes are dynamic, and during them not only the statistics of our character matter, but also our agility and accurate eye. Apart from small duels, we can also engage in large-scale battles, including participating in sieges and territorial wars or defending ourselves against invader attacks. The winners of the large battles can impose taxes on the defeated.
Unlike many other productions of this type, the game allows us to modify the combat skills of characters at any time, using special monuments. Thanks to this, for example, we can make our hero (or heroine) quickly change into an archer after being a sword master.
Life is Feudal: Arden only allows for multiplayer gameplay over the Internet.
