Lineage 2: Revolution for AND and iOS is a mobile MMORPG developed by NetMarble. The game, based on a license from NCSoft, is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
When it comes to plot, Revolution is a continuation of Lineage II and begins a hundred years after the events of the original game. The fall of the Elmoreden Empire has led to creation of many warring states, including a dangerous Dark Society ruled by the ruthless sorcerer known as Beleth. For some time, Dark Society has been kept at bay thanks to a group of factions led by a mage named Hardin. Unfortunately, the mission becomes more and more of a burden to the hero, who creates an organization known as Silverlight Mercenaries, a group whose main task is to lead the rest of the world in a quest to see Beleth’s downfall. The players assume control over the latest recruits of the aforementioned group.
Lineage 2: Revolution is a classic MMORPG focusing on exploration, completing tasks, and developing our hero. The game begins with the character creation window. We can choose from three classes (warrior, scout and mage) and four races – humans, elves, dark elves, and dwarves. In opposition to most mobile MMORPGs, the game sports a large, open world, with thousands of players meeting on a single server.
Combat takes place in real time and is characteristic for its arcade qualities. The players can take part in numerous story missions, yet the large scale PvP combat is arguably the mainstay – each player can join a guild and take part in faction wars that involve large scale battles and sieges for up to two hundred players at once. Finally, the game offers cooperative modes that see us visit dangerous dungeons and face powerful bosses.
Lineage 2: Revolution for AND and iOS sports detailed, three-dimensional graphics based on Unreal Engine 4.
