Little Big Workshop is a combination of a strategy and economic game with a workshop management and his employees. The game was created by a small Swedish studio Mirage Games, and its release was taken care of by THQ Nordic.

One day, a model appeared on our desk, with the possibility of expansion, as well as ... mini people. After the first shock, we found that it was impossible to pass by indifferently, because it was a great option to start a business and get rich on it. In this way we open our mini factory and wait for the cash increase.

Mechanics

Little Big Workshop is a three-dimensional game observed from isometric view. Our task is to manage the workshop so that it brings the highest possible turnover. At the beginning we start from a small square where we can build a limited number and type of buildings, hire the required experts, prepare an effective production line and decide what we start to produce in bulk. We have more than 50 different items to produce, such as rubber ducks, scooters, drones, chests of drawers and many more. Each of them can be made from different raw materials, we just have to choose which one is best suited to it and create the right production line. In this way, we can sell our products to our potential customers, provided that we meet the estimated lead time and that the goods we produce satisfy the individual. If everyone is satisfied, we can start counting the money, which we can then invest in the further development of the factory.

Thanks to the revenues, our initially small workshop can turn into a thriving factory. In order to do this, we need to build more rooms where we can build more expensive but also more advanced machines. Thanks to them, the production of items will become much faster, easier and will allow for mass production of hundreds of products a day.

In addition to expanding the workshop, the game focuses on the management of small employees. If we are a good and understanding boss, our team will work with joy and income. However, if we are too strict, we must be careful, because they will rebel and production will stand still.

Technical aspects

Little Big Workshop is a three-dimensional game with cartoon graphics. The whole thing is set on a mock-up plan placed on our desk. In the game we can observe the changing cycle of day and night.
