Set in the realities of World War II, this air simulator gives players the opportunity to sit at the helm of legendary Luftwaffe fighters and take part in battles for airspace over Europe.

After a moderately successful jet fighter simulation Sabre Ace: Conflict Over Korea Eagle Interactive studio was given a chance to rehabilitate by producing a game with air battles during World War II. WII Combat Flight Simulator, which was supposed to indicate that it was not just a simulator of German planes. The developer drew conclusions from the failure of the previous production and made sure that the new game was more extensive, and above all, nicer in terms of graphics.

The main campaign in single player mode allows you to play in one of the Luftwaffe pilots. It offers 50 missions on five fronts - from the civil war in Spain, through the invasion of France, the Battle of England, the fight on the eastern front and finally the defense of German airspace in the declining period of World War II.

Players have the opportunity to sit at the helm of 11 fighter planes. On the German side there are four versions of Messerschmitt Bf-109, as well as Heinkel 51 and 72, and the jet Messerschmitt Me-262. Four Allied machines are available in multiplayer mode, as well as in fast and single missions: Polikarpov I-16, Supermarine Spitfire , P-39 and P-51. However, there are several dozen other models of planes in the game, corresponding to historical realities.

You can follow the game using the view from the cockpit or from a third person perspective. Simulation elements in the game have been combined with arcade elements, which was to make the air clashes more attractive.

Graphic design Luftwaffe Commander is far from perfect. Nice views of the ground stand out positively, but the attention to details of the cities over which fights are taking place leaves a lot to be desired.

Alternational intelligence is not a particularly strong element of the game, either. However, the advantage is the option of assigning "winged", which are used to support the fight against enemies.

Without the solo mode, the developer also took care of the possibility of playing with living enemies. Up to 10 people connected via LAN or Internet can take part in multiplayer clashes.

Luftwaffe Commander also has a simple editor, allowing you to create your own mission scenarios.
