Maliki: Poison of the Past is an RPG with adventure elements, serving as the debut project of the independent French studio Blue Banshee. The game is an adaptation of a comic book series by an artist known as Souillon, which is particularly popular in France.

Gameplay

In Maliki: Poison of the Past we watch the events in an isometric view. During the game, we play as Sand. Along with her allies she travels through various locations scattered in time and space. On the way, the protagonist and her entourage must solve puzzles, as well as face the enemies waiting for them.

Turn-based combat and time manipulation

The battles take place in a turn-based mode, and during them the key to success is the skillful use of the so-called Chrono Pack, which allows us to manipulate time on the battlefield. Thanks to it, we can delay or speed up the attacks of individual characters, linking them into spectacular and effective combinations, or send enemies back to the past.
