A fun sports game in which, with the help of Mario, Luigi and the rest of the characters of the extremely popular series, we play a number of golf tournaments taking place in different locations and using different rules of different modes of play. Most of the gameplay modules are oriented towards online competition.

Tee off as your favorite Mario or Mii character while challenging players online. Shoot into warp pipes and dodge piranha plants in Mushroom Kingdom areas or take a shot at the nature-themed courses. The new Castle Club has both naturalistic and Mario-themed courses, a training area to hone your skills, and a pro shop where you can get unlockable gear and outfits. Test your skills in a gauntlet of course challenges, play with friends locally, or take on players around the world in online real-time tournaments.

Between the varied courses that are available, the multiplayer options and the excellent gameplay dynamic, Mario Golf: World Tour offers a little something to everyone, both pro and casual players alike. What it lacks in innovation (and in some cases, quality audio- your Mii sounds too much like a doofus), it more than makes up for with a swinging good time.

Niggles aside, I've really enjoyed my time with Mario Golf: World Tour. Despite feeling a little light on main courses, there's more than enough content on offer, coupled with a great online mode and the usual Nintendo visual flair. This is a game that will keep you busy for quite some time.
