A planned but ultimately canceled role-playing action game utilizing a free-to-play model, set in the universe of the popular Might and Magic fantasy game series. The game takes place just before the Bloodmoon Eclipse from Might and Magic: Heroes VI.
Might & Magic: Raiders is an action RPG based on the classic Diablo or Sacred hack'n'slashach series and referring to the Heroes of Might & Magic series. The Chinese branch of Ubistoft from Chengdu, known from Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game, is responsible for its creation. The title was announced at the gamescom fair in Cologne in 2012.
Might & Magic: Raiders takes us back to the times immediately before the Blood Moon Eclipse known from the sixth installment of the popular "Heroes" series. The main stage of the events is the city of Hammerfall, one of the coastal Free Cities in the East. It was in it that its founder, Douglas Hammer, placed dragon crystals, used by dragon knights to create powerful weapons and artifacts. The coming of the Eclipse causes the invasion of Demons, which in turn triggers the intervention of the Holy Falcon Empire. His ruler wants to acquire the knowledge and abilities of bloody blacksmiths, starting a rebellion in Hammerfall. In Might & Magic: Raiders, players take on the role of Ashan Riders and must set off to relieve the city, repelling another demon invasion.
The creators focused primarily on dynamic team play. Players unite in groups of up to four and face dangerous demons and powerful bosses. Each team rally lasts no more than 20 minutes. The title also puts a lot of freedom in terms of creating and personalizing characters. We can choose one of four classes, each of which has its own skills and abilities.
From the point of view of audiovisual setting, the game resembles the Torchlight series. The graphics are distinguished by a large number of details. The sound and musical layer are at a high level, blending in well with the conflict tearing the world of Ashan.
