game release date for PS4:
Another installment in the popular MLB: The Show baseball simulator series started back in 2005. The series is licensed by the most important league in this sport - the American Major League Baseball. This means that on the screen one can see real-life, faithfully recreated players, as well as teams and stadiums. MLB: The Show 19 is the third installment in the series released exclusively on PlayStation 4. The game was created and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
MLB: The Show 19 is a baseball simulator that allows players to control your team directly in matches as well as in the role of the manager (although the first aspect of the game is much more important here - the latter is only a bonus). The game features realistic gameplay, faithfully reflecting the complexity of this sport.
In the manager mode, one's duties include the selection and training of players as well as conducting transfers. It is worth noting that the statistics of individual active athletes are constantly modified depending on their performance in the current league season (for understandable reasons, this does not apply to historical modes).
In the game, one can find many famous players, such as Willie Mays, Rickey Henderson, Don Mattingly, Iván 'Pudge' Rodríguez, and Lou Gehrig.
One can play MLB: The Show 19 either alone or with others. Players get an extensive career mode at their disposal with RPG elements called Road to the Show, in which they gradually lead their player from his first steps until he becomes famous. It is also possible to play single matches and tournaments (either against the AI or other players) and to supervise the team in league competitions.
There are two new game modes - Moments allows players to recreate the most important moments in the history of this sport, while March to October offers the best elements of the league mode, but it is much more dynamic - one's team can fight for the championship title faster than ever before.
There also are the Conquest and the Dynasty Diamond modes (a kind of online league enriched with new players, maps, skins, and even Battle Royale mechanics, allowing the best players to win exceptional and attractive prizes).
MLB: The Show 19 has very nice 3D visuals focusing primarily on realism. Both the player and stadium models have been faithfully reproduced, thanks to which they resemble their counterparts known from the real world. The animation system also makes a great impression - players move smoothly and convincingly.
