Monkey Tales: The Valley of the Jackal PC

Monkey Tales: Szakala Valley is the fifth part of the adventure and educational game series developed by the Belgian studio Larian. The production was created in cooperation with educators as a combination of fun and learning.

The plot is the culmination of the five-part saga of the Little Tales Monkey. The teenage hero moves in time to ancient Egypt, where he finally intends to crack down on the evil Horus. The player must help the young cunning player survive on the hot sands of the desert and find his way to an ancient temple where the main antagonist of the series hid.

The game is maintained in the convention of adventure and skill game. The hero, whose actions are directed by the player, explores locations, solves logical puzzles and struggles with enemies. Importantly, combat mechanics is based on a mathematical mini-game that checks the basic skills of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing natural numbers.

The level of difficulty has been adapted to the abilities of children aged 11-12 years. Individual tasks are not too complicated, but they can be a challenge for young players. With fans of the series in mind, the creators turned to proven solutions, including an intuitively simple control system and a very clear user interface.

Like the other games in the series, the Tales Monkey: The Szakala Valley is a production distinguished by an attractive visual setting. Three-dimensional graphics draw attention with intense colors, and the gameplay is accompanied by numerous funny animations. The whole aesthetic experience is complemented by a soundtrack that falls into the ear. It is also worth noting that thanks to the efforts of the Polish distributor, the game was released in Poland in a full Polish language version with acting dubbing.
