In SHENZHEN I/O, we assume the role of a beginner engineer who gets hired by an electronics company in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. Given the complicated gameplay mechanics, the production can be described as an electronic circuit-building simulator. Before playing, it is advisable to get acquainted with the extensive documentation that comes with the game and includes information on individual components and how they work. While playing, we design, for example, a LED controller from scratch. With time, tasks become increasingly complicated and require a true engineering sense. Apart from the campaign, the players can also play in a sandbox mode. SHENZHEN I/O offers simple and clear 2D graphics and user-friendly interface.
