A third-person action stealth game, maintained in a style of political fiction and in some ways similar to Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series. Mudang: Two Hearts focuses on the united Korean Peninsula from the near future. We can play as a former soldier, a k-pop star and a terrorist, each with their own set of skills.
Mudang: Two Hearts is an action adventure game with clearly defined stealth elements, maintained in the convention of political fiction. The game was based on the license of the webcomic titled Moodang, and its development was undertaken by the South Korean EVR Studio.
Mudang: Two Hearts takes us to the near future, unfolding before us a vision of the Korean Peninsula after the unification of North and South Korea and the establishment of the United Korean Nation.
The game allows us to play as various characters. Ji Jeong Tae is a soldier from former North Korea who comes to the south as part of a military exchange program. Gavi is a member of the rising K-pop group named Ordo. ID: Ghost is a mysterious terrorist.
In Mudang: Two Hearts we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game is divided into missions, the course of which varies slightly depending on who we are playing. While Ji Jeong Tae and ID: Ghost neutralize threats, fighting hand-to-hand and with firearms, Gavi must quietly avoid them.
In all cases, the key to success is relying on tactical actions and skillful use of the equipment and abilities of individual characters. Making use of the opportunities offered by the environment also plays an important role. The game allows us to hide behind covers, sneak behind enemies and eliminate them by surprise, as well as climb on objects.
The title of the game refers to the Korean word "mudang", which means a shaman conveying divine messages - in this case, it symbolizes political power. In turn, "Two Hearts" refers to the two divided countries on the Korean Peninsula.
