Created by the Jester Interactive studio, a continuation of Music game from 1998. In the sequel, the authors have improved the elements that were flawed in the original and provided even more options to compose songs.
Music 2000 is a program for creating music that is based on very simple assumptions. Players are given an empty board on which they can place their tracks. Each of the tracks has pads placed on it - these are samples with sounds. There are dozens of instruments to choose from, but also fragments of singing that can be freely modified. The authors included in the database a wide range of samples, over four thousand in total, which represent various musical genres, from techno and trance, through house, to rock. Nothing stands in the way of expanding the available base by loading additional recordings from the memory card. In addition, the game allows for more advanced modifications, including playing with undertone, tempo, or interfering with the character of individual samples.
Music 2000 allows you to create simple graphic presentations which, combined with the composed melodies, will create music videos. Players also have a wide range of editing options - they can choose different styles, colors, adjust the pace and create interesting transitions between selected animations.
In addition to the main editor, Music 2000 also has a Music Jam mode, where up to four players can simultaneously play the creation of a dream song in a very simplified tool. The module has an entertaining character and is something like a demonstration of the capabilities of the entire application.
Music 2000, in terms of graphic design, resembles other music editors available on the market. The creators have focused on simplicity and intuitiveness, trying to create a comfortable tool that is easy to use with the gamepad.
