NAIRI: Rising Tide Description

NAIRI: Rising Tide is a visual novel adventure game and a direct continuation of the 2018 game - NAIRI: Tower of Shirin. Players are given the opportunity to visit completely new locations and learn more about history. The authors of the first part, the HomeBearStudio team, are responsible for the development of this game. Hound Picked Games helped to publish the game.

Plot

In NAIRI: Rising Tide, the player again takes on the role of the heroine, who is trying to save her family. In addition to the dangers of Shirin's dangerous city, the girl and her friends must also deal with the threat of some apocalyptic prophecy that could end the world.

Mechanics

NAIRI: Rising Tide is quite a typical representative of the visual novel sub-genre. The gameplay is about discovering a story that we learn through dialogues and illustrations (including character portraits). From time to time we also have to make choices or solve puzzles - most often by interacting with various objects and other elements of the environment (we click on the things we see in the picture).

Sometimes the puzzles require the combination of several things found - it is worth noting that the equipment system responsible for this aspect of the game has been redesigned to allow more freedom. The game contains a hint system that should also help players less familiar with adventure (you can adjust this mechanics to your needs, thus increasing or decreasing the difficulty level).

During her adventure Nairi visits a number of different places - apart from the districts of Shirin city we also find dangerous, full of mysteries ruins. We also meet new characters and collect treasures.

Game modes

In NAIRI: Rising Tide we can only play alone. The main game mode is a feature campaign.

Technical aspects

NAIRI: Rising Tide has a pretty nice design. The artistic style used here evokes associations with animated film and likes illustrated children's books, especially the productions of Disney and the famous Japanese Ghibli Studio. The game also offers a completely new soundtrack.
