NBA Live 13

NBA Live 13, released on PC, PS3, X360, was developed by EA Tiburon, which was previously involved in the unfinished NBA Elite project. The development team has set itself the goal of returning to the roots of the series, while, at the same time, implementing a number of solutions expected by fans.

Mechanics

As in previous editions of the series, in NBA Live 13 players have the opportunity to play as their favorite NBA league teams. Information about the teams from the 2012/2013 season was taken as the base.

While designing NBA Live 13, the creators took to heart the remarks raised by the players. Many complaints concerned the pass system, which, according to the fans, needed some tweaks. It was therefore decided to completely rebuild this element. Changes made to Artificial Intelligence have improved the intuitiveness of the games and the controls. The use of statistical data also allows us to develop schemes of favorite games. Thanks to this, even players controlled by a player to behave in a more individual and natural way. In addition, the team tries to anticipate the player's action and react to it in good time.

Technical aspects

The creators of NBA Live 13 devoted a lot of attention not only to what is happening on the basketball court but also outside it. The courts have been recreated with attention to detail, and some sports facilities have been reproduced on the basis of laser scanning techniques. The game also uses a realistic level of light intensity (some teams prefer more darkened courts, while others prefer the opposite).

The visuals in NBA Live 13 have been significantly improved compared to previous versions of the series. This can be seen especially in the players' models, who have gained more natural facial expressions and smoother animations of movement. The way of reporting events on the pitch is modeled on ESPN broadcasts, and the player can follow the actions on the court from various camera angles.
