Neuroshima Hex, released on AND and iOS, is a mobile adaptation of Michal Oracz's board game, originally published in 2005 and set in the universe of the popular Neuroshima system. The title was prepared by Big Daddy's Creations studio in Warsaw, with the substantive support of the original distributors - Portal Publishing House.

Plot

The action of the game takes place in the near future, in a gloomy, post-nuclear universe, inspired by such cult series like Fallout or Geroge Miller's Mad Max movie series. Power over the world is exercised by a powerful artificial intelligence called Moloch, which developed awareness and recognized its creators as enemies, provoking the outbreak of World War III. People defending themselves against the attack used a chemical and biological arsenal, which killed a large part of the population, contaminating the soil, water, and air. In the world trying to reborn again, there is a rivalry between the four armies: Outpost, Borgo mutants, Hegemony gangs and Moloch machines.

Mechanics

The gameplay in Neuroshima Hex boils down to the next duels on a special board, consisting of 19 hexagonal fields. During the skirmishes, players put on the board chips representing units, modules or special actions, and each rivalry aims to destroy the opponent's staff or take away as many stamina points as possible. Each of the four sides of the conflict has slightly different strategic capabilities, which makes the game more tactical and requires players to be able to adapt to the changing situation on the board.

Game modes

The game is designed for 2-4 players, but if you don't have enough people, it is also possible to compete with artificial intelligence on one of the three difficulty levels.

Technical aspects

Neuroshima Hex looks decent, and the appearance of the board and individual chips corresponds in 100% to the board's original. The authors also took care to use the capabilities of touch screens, thanks to which dragging or turning chips gives a very natural impression.
