A mobile role-playing game heavily-inspired by the Pokemon series. The game is set in a fantasy land, combining modern reality with science-fiction elements. You play as a trainer, whose task is to catch the eponymous creatures, develop their abilities, and use them to battle other trainers. In Nexomon, you traverse a world divided into 10 regions, visit shops, talk to NPCs, and complete a variety of quests.
Nexomon is a mobile RPG. The game was designed to recreate the mechanics and atmosphere of the mobile installments of the Pokemon franchise on smartphones and tablets.
In Nexomon we are taken to a fantastic land, combining modern reality with occasional science fiction elements in the form of various types of advanced technologies. Players take on the role of a trainer, whose task is to catch wild creatures, develop their abilities, and then use in battles with other trainers.
Nexomon is a clone of the Pokemon series. We get an RPG, in which we explore a big world consisting of ten regions, talk to NPCs, visit shops and undertake quests.The devs have prepared an extensive story campaign, with many optional side missions.
A key role in the game is played by the mechanics of catching the creatures, which then join our collection. Players can develop their abilities, evolve them into new forms, as well as create crossbreeds of several specimens. In total, Nexomon gives us the opportunity to capture more than three hundred types of these creatures.
We use our creatures in turn-based battles, during which we mainly deal with choosing appropriate attacks to defeat the opponent and using items. An option to flee from battle is also available.

Design gripes aside, Nexomon is a decent Pokémon clone. It's a bit rough around the edges, but if you're hankering for a cheap and cheerful creature-based RPG, it's not a bad pick.

Nexomon is a monster taming adventure that takes clear inspiration from the Pokémon series. I played as a child on her journey to save the world from an evil team. In this case, the Nexolord intends on destroying the world and reviving the Omnicron, an ancient deity known to bring demise to all humans. Overall Nexomon on Switch is much better served in the sequel Nexomon:Extinction, than in this version. Whilst having its moments of fun and slightly addictive gameplay, it is still at its core a mobile game that's really best enjoyed in smaller 5-10 increments rather than a proper hour or two of normal playtime. It was disappointing to see that no effort was made to update the game from the mobile with the exception of the removal of micro transactions. At L9.99 it is not the most expensive game and would be good for those of you who want to scratch that monster catching itch before the new Pokemon games come out.
