Mechanics

Running your own business in Nivalis starts with setting up a small stall selling food, ramen or stimulants. By preparing tasty dishes or serving unique cocktails, we'll start to attract the attention of an increasing number of customers, which will be reflected both in the number of visitors to our business and in the growing number of zeros in our account. We can spend the money we earn on buying new ingredients (although we can grow them ourselves), on various decorations for our house or a completely new flat. However, the goal should be to turn your business into something much more serious, like your own restaurant or nightclub. But to do this, we need more than just money. We are talking about the acquaintances we make by talking to the characters who visit us and learning their stories. In this way, over time we not only gain regular customers but also devoted friends.

The game also allows us to freely roam the city, on foot or by flying HOVA. During breaks from business, we can indulge in fishing, looking after our crops in greenhouses near the docks or simply travelling without a goal. Variable weather conditions and a full day cycle add variety to the exploration.

Technical aspects

The graphic design of Nivalis is voxel-based and looks decent and stylish. The overall style is cyberpunk, with colourful neon signs and advertising banners lighting up the darkened streets.
